Ela Motors Revs Up Support for PNG’s SME Awards,

Fueling Growth Since 2019

Since the SME Awards of Papua New Guinea launched in 2019, Ela Motors—PNG’s largest automotive dealer—has been its steadfast champion, providing the major prize and, since 2023, financial backing as the naming-rights sponsor.

Ela Motors’ commitment stands as the largest private‐sector‐driven CSO contribution to the SME ecosystem inPNG, underscoring the company’s belief that strong local businesses underpin national prosperity. By supplyingthe major prize, sponsoring two new award categories, and underwriting the gala dinner, Ela Motors hasaccelerated the professionalization and scale‐up of SMEs from urban centers to remote provinces.

Nominations for the 2026 SME Awards are officially open from Friday, July 24, through Wednesday, September 30. The judging process will take place in October, followed by the prestigious Awards Dinner in November 2026, with final dates to be confirmed in October. This timeline underscores the Awards’ commitment to transparency and excellence, ensuring every stage — from nomination to recognition — reflects the values of innovation, growth, and leadership within Papua New Guinea’s SME sector.
